Questionnaire for pupils to complete to enable self reflection and promote class discussion of issues around revision.

Two interview sheets, each one can be printed out on a single A4 side. If desired you could copy them back to back or they can be used independently. Pupils can fill them out in advance in preparation for discussion with teacher about future choices.

A checklist that enables pupils to self assess their organisation. Originally designed for use with sixth form students who keep all their work in folders. The checklist tries to impress upon students the reasoning behind each checkpoint.

Scaffolding help sheet for making contributions in class. The question prompts are categorised into groups depending on whether the pupil is struggling, coping or feeling confident or over confident. It could be used purely for reference or as a working documnet/ record for teacher or pupils to make notes on, prepare for a forthcoming class discussion etc. There is also a reflection exercise.

An activity sheet that gets pupils to think about good and bad feelings and to think positively about themselves and put all their emotions to good use.

A worksheet that asks pupils to think about what they would do if they were chancellor and then outlines and explores some of the key announcements in the budget that refers to spring 2017 budget but could be used as a framework / model for pupils to explore the most recent budget.

20 questions about the budget - see how many pupils can give an answer to; use for class discussion; display on board for pairs to discuss; set as a homework; set as a research task. Discussion points and answers where appropriate on pages 2/3.

Three tasks. It is suggested that each task given to a different group and each group prepares notes for the whole class.

In order to get a pass at A’Level Maths you MUST put in at least one hour of independent work for every one hour of class time. Just attending class and doing the homework IS NOT ENOUGH except in very exceptional cases. So what could you be doing in those hours… -how, hints , why - for each suggestion. A four page handout outlining in detail what students need to be doing.

Find someone who... Pupils/staff go around the group and try to get a different name for each attribute.

Originally used with high achieving students who may not cope well with stress for fear of failure. A lesson / extra curricular session with suggested activities.

A self evaluation for pupils to fill in in order to evaluate their strengths and suggested improvements mainly directed at maths lessons but could easily be adapted.

A template to be handed out to groups to enable them to organised themselves into a study group and accomplish a research task. . NB the teacher needs to choose a meaty chapter/assignment for pupils to tackle.

Workshop outlined with some relaxation techniques and activities to get pupils thinking about how to relax/ destress.
